Built for people who’d rather listen.
Mnemo started as an Obsidian plugin for transcribing lessons. Mnemo for the web brings the same idea to meetings and classrooms — accurate words, intelligently formatted.

Questions
Why do I need my own API key?+
So you stay in control. You pick the provider and model, you pay the provider directly at their prices, and you can revoke access whenever you want. Mnemo never marks up AI usage.
How are my keys stored?+
Keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM on the server before being saved, are only decrypted at the moment a request is made to your provider, and are never sent back to your browser.
Which providers do what?+
Transcription: OpenAI, Google, Microsoft Azure Speech, Mistral, ElevenLabs, AssemblyAI, Deepgram, Fish Audio and Cartesia. Notes: OpenAI, Google, xAI, Mistral and Cohere. OpenAI, Google and Mistral can do both with one key.
Does it handle more than one language?+
Yes. Language is auto-detected for every ~30-second segment, so speakers who switch languages are transcribed as spoken.
How long can a recording be?+
Audio is sent in short segments as you record, so there’s no hard limit beyond your provider’s quotas.
